Information about the Bird Sabota Lark
The sabota lark (Calendulauda sabota) is a species of lark in the Alaudidae family.
M. sabota has a vast range spanning the countries of Angola, Botswana, Mozambique, Namibia, South Africa, Swaziland, and Zimbabwe. Its global extent of occurrence is estimated to be about 2,300,000km2.
Its natural habitats are dry savannah, moist savannah, and subtropical or tropical dry shrubland.
Bradfield's lark (Calendulauda naevia), formerly thought to be a separate species, is now considered to be a subspecies of C. sabota. It has a larger bill than C. sabota, and is endemic to Namibia.
